You’ve probably heard of The Crazy Cat Lady?

Well, in my own way, I am the Crazy Birth Lady.

Ever since I was a little girl, ever since I can remember, I have been awed by pregnancy, birth, and babies.  I just couldn’t wait to be a Mama.

At the age of 12, I started babysitting and being a Mother’s Helper.

Several years later, I chose a vocational school.  I studied and trained as a Medical Assistant.  

I was thrilled, when, early in my career I was hired in an OB/GYN office.  I thought I landed my dream job...being around expectant mama’s every day.   But it was also an eye-opening experience.  I learned how “medicalized” the God-designed natural process, had become.

Through the years, I have been so very blessed and honored to attend to several family members and friends’ during their labor and births. 

​

I was ecstatic when Finally, it was my turn to become a Mama.  After my experience in the OB/GYN office, I knew I wanted a different model of care.  Midwives were making a comeback.  Unfortunately, there were none local, so I traveled 45 minutes to get the care I wanted for myself and my baby.

It is this God-given desire, and all these experiences, that fuel my passion to encourage, educate, and inspire you - to help you realize your God-given strength and ability to grow, give birth to, and feed your little one … to impart to you evidence-based information, resources, and coping skills to help you to have a healthy pregnancy, labor and birth, and beyond the birth experience.
